The Tolbooth

The Tolbooth Museum is one of Aberdeen’s oldest surviving buildings and has a number of re-constructions, models, displays and interactive exhibits on the history and development of crime and punishment, local history and the government in Aberdeen. The building was originally where the burgh council helpd meetings and where the tolls and customs were collected and later a prison.
